One of the hidden gems of the new bill reverses a 50 year old rule that has cost Americans more lives, and made less safe cars. The ‘Corporate Average Fuel Economy” standards or CAFE has been eliminated!!! This means cars will become LESS expensive and hopefully even safer. CAFE standards imposed ridiculous fines and penalties against car manufacturers who could reach unreachable gas mileage requirements. NOT ANY MORE!!!
